Welcome to Resume Automator ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using our website at resumeautomator.com and any related services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

1. Service Description

Resume Automator is an AI-powered resume builder that helps users create tailored, ATS-optimized resumes. The Service uses artificial intelligence to analyze job descriptions and generate resume content based on the career information you provide.

2. Account Terms

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account and use the Service.
You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.
Each person may maintain only one account. Creating multiple accounts may result in termination of all associated accounts.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must not share your password with anyone.
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

3. Subscription & Billing

Resume Automator offers a free tier with a limited number of resumes and a paid Pro subscription.
The Pro subscription is billed at $8.99 per month on a recurring basis.
Payment is processed through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge the payment method on file each billing cycle.
You may cancel your subscription at any time through the billing portal accessible from your Settings page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Refunds may be requested within 7 days of a charge by contacting support@resumeautomator.com. After 7 days, charges are non-refundable.

4. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

All resume content generated by the Service is produced by artificial intelligence and is provided as-is, without any warranty of accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose. You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and verifying all AI-generated content before using it in any job application or professional context. We do not guarantee that AI-generated resumes will result in interviews, job offers, or any particular outcome.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use automated tools, bots, or scrapers to access or extract data from the Service.
Share your account credentials or allow others to access your account.
Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service.
Use the Service to generate fraudulent, misleading, or illegal content.
Attempt to circumvent rate limits, usage restrictions, or security measures.
Use the Service in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations.

6. Intellectual Property

Your Content: You retain full ownership of the career information, personal details, and other content you provide to the Service. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
Our Service: The Service, including its design, code, features, and branding, is owned by Resume Automator and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without our written permission.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Resume Automator and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from:

Your use of or inability to use the Service.
Any AI-generated content produced by the Service.
Any unauthorized access to or alteration of your data.
Any third-party conduct on the Service.

Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that we determine, in our sole discretion, is harmful to the Service or other users.
You may delete your account at any time from the Settings page. Upon deletion, all your data, including resumes, career information, and account details, will be permanently removed.
If your account is terminated for a Terms violation, any remaining subscription time is forfeited and non-refundable.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you via the email address associated with your account. Your continued use of the Service after such notification constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Maryland, USA, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in the State of Maryland.
